Our Core Values

Oak Harbor Music Fest sparks joy while building a sense of community that brings our island neighbors together. We provide equal-access music education opportunities with scholarships and instrument programs that encourage local young people to express themselves through music.

Our Impact

For the past eleven years, the Oak Harbor Music Festival has provided a weekend of free musical entertainment in the City of Oak Harbor, on beautiful Whidbey Island.

The festival has provided a total of over $70,000 in scholarships to dozens of Whidbey Island graduating seniors who plan to study music or build their performance skills in college.

Scholarship 1

The Ed Bridges Music Scholarship is given in honor of Ed Bridges, the Oak Harbor High School music director in the 1970’s. He was an inspiration to many individuals who have gone on to make music their careers.

Scholarship 2

In 2016 we added the Bruce Lantz Music Scholarship in honor of the Oak Harbor Music teacher Bruce Lantz, who after 31 years of teaching music and inspiring students, retired in 2016.
