INTEGRITY
We conduct all of our business with honesty in our relationships
and in stewardship of the Festival. We recognize that our stakeholders
-- our sponsors, donors, volunteers, guests, musicians, vendors, local
businesses, and the Oak Harbor community. -- have placed great trust in
us, and we strive always to be worthy of that trust.
COMMUNITY
We recognize and are grateful for the reasons that the vast majority of
our guests continue to support our Festival: love, friendship, family,
and community, all inspired by the power of music. We believe that music
has a unique power to heal, uplift, connect, and make our community stronger.
RESPECT
We listen and validate all input from our stakeholders, both positive and
negative. We appreciate that anyone who takes the time to give us feedback
is letting us know that we are important to them and to this community, and
we address each issue in a manner that honors the intent of the person who
brought it to us.
INCLUSIVITY & DIVERSITY
We proactively recognize and encourage engagement with the festival from all
corners of our community, from all age groups, diverse cultures, economic
backgrounds, and musical genres. We strive for diverse representation on our
board, in fund development, and in the performers who appear on our stages.
SAFETY
We proactively collaborate with the City of Oak Harbor, Whidbey Health, State
Liquor Board, and other agencies as appropriate, including planning and training
for our board and volunteers, to support a safe festival for all who attend
Since 2012, the Oak Harbor Music Festival has provided a weekend of free musical
entertainment in the City of Oak Harbor, on beautiful Whidbey Island.
The festival has returned more than $100,000 to our community's young musicians
through our scholarships for Whidbey's graduating seniors and through our Quarter
Note Fund which puts musical instruments directly in the hands of local middle schoolers.
We are dedicated to the idea that students with passion for music, and talent and desire
to learn, should have an obstacle-free chance to follow their dreams.
The Oak Harbor Music Festival is a non-profit organization, so your donation will be
tax deductible.
We would be sincerely thankful for any amount you are able to share.
