Exercise 4 - What’s Next?

Whether you are taking this course as a part of your major or as a personal interest you should know there is an abundant amount of information that you have yet to discover about web design.

Designing web sites can be so complex because you constantly must beaware of the way the web is evolving. You must understand how browsers interpret HTML and CSS. Remember that 25 percent of your time as a web design will likely be devoted to testing, developing

work arounds for specific browsers, and simply explaining to clients and supervisors why things may display as they do on the web.

As you complete this course, you are encouraged to continue learning the dreamweaver as well as HTML & CSS. You will find that the fundamental design skills you have learned in various design courses will still remain beneficial while designing web sites. Don’t hesitate to experiment and try new things you may have not learned in this course. What you have learned are the basics, and are merely a stepping stone for what lies ahead. Don’t fear learning the “code”, once you develop a good understanding of what drives a web site, you will find you have much more power as a web designer.
